Kota Kinabalu: Head of State Tun Musa Aman received a courtesy call from 5th Division Commander Major General Shamshor Jaafar at Istana Seri Kinabalu recently.

The visit was to introduce himself to Musa and his wife, Toh Puan Faridah Tussin, and to discuss current issues related to security and defence in Sabah.

Shamshor, 57, assumed the post of 5th Division Commander on Jan 30, replacing Major General Datuk Noorrul Azril Ariffin.

Prior to his appointment, he served as Director-General of the Manpower Branch at the Malaysian Armed Forces Headquarters.

Also present were Major General Datuk Noorrul Azril Ariffin and his wife Datin Noriza Md Rashid.
