Kota Kinabalu: Head of State Tun Musa Aman received a courtesy call from 37th Malaysian Infantry Brigade (5 Brigade) Commander Brig Gen Abdul Razak Haron at Istana Seri Kinabalu on Thursday.
Abdul Razak said the visit was to introduce himself ahead of assuming his post on April 3 at Kem Paradise, Kota Belud.
“I and the leadership of 5 Brigade will provide the best service to the State Government and ensure long-standing cooperation continues,” he said.
He also expressed commitment and loyalty to serve the people and the State, describing his return to Sabah as a blessing for a second posting.
Abdul Razak will replace Brig Gen Datuk Mohd Zamri Abdullah, who will take up a new role as Director-General of Defence Operations Branch at the Armed Forces Headquarters.
The visit also provided a platform to discuss state security issues and future plans for military preparedness in Sabah.
Also present were Major Syamsul Anwar Ahmad, Captain Fakrur Radzi Zulkifli, Captain Muhammad Hazimin Helmi, and Captain Datu Mohd Hazlin Datu Ali Nafiah.
