KOTA KINABALU: The Marine Police Force (PPM) seized more than 2,300 units of vape liquids of various brands during an integrated operation at a premises in Likas here on Tuesday,

The operation, known as Op Taring Landai E-Cigarette Mega, was carried out in collaboration with the Sabah Health Department and the City District Police Headquarters.

PPM Region 4 Sabah commander ACP Ahmad Amri Abd Rahman said officers from the Health Ministry (MOH) discovered 92 types of vape flavours displayed at the sales counter of the premises during the raid.
He said further inspection by the marine police found a total of 2,353 units of vape liquids of various brands stored inside the premises, with all seized items suspected to be in violation of provisions under the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Act 2024 (Act 852).
The total value of the seizure is estimated at RM75,825, and Ahmad Amri said enforcement operations would continue to be intensified to curb the illegal sale and distribution of vape products, urging members of the public with information to assist authorities in their investigations.
