Jafry said the open house also serves as a platform to strengthen cultural tourism by offering domestic and international visitors exposure to Sabah’s customs, traditions and cultural heritage.
He invited members of the public, schools, Federal and State civil servants, Federal agencies in Sabah, non-governmental organisations and ethnic and Chinese associations to attend in the spirit of unity and goodwill.
He said the programme will feature cultural performances including lion dances, firecrackers, and the Yee Sang tossing ceremony, with traditional dishes and special meals for the public prepared by 15 five-star hotels in Sabah.
