Kota Kinabalu: A 34-year-old lorry driver was charged with insulting the modesty of a woman, recently.
Masree Poleman pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Dzul Elmy Yunus, to the charge against him on Thursday.

Masree is accused of committing the offence against a 38-year-old woman by touching her ears and holding her waist with his left hand at 7.15am on January 3 at a car park in front of Servay Likas Hypermall, near here.
He was charged under Section 509 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of up to five years or a fine or both, on conviction.
The court set March 16 for mention and released Masree on bail of RM2,000 in a local surety.
In applying for a lower bail, counsel Lawrence Lim who defended Masree, told the court that Masree needed to take care of his father.
In the same court, a 44-year-old mechanic was jailed 10 weeks and fined RM1,000 in default four weeks in prison for causing hurt to his girlfriend.
Othman Ruzman pleaded guilty to hitting the woman at 10pm on Dec 31, 2025 at a unit in the Beverly Hills in Phase 2, Bundusan, Penampang.
In mitigation, Othman who was not represented, told the court that he has six children to look after and that it was his first offence.
The prosecution urged the court to impose a deterrent sentence considering that it was a serious offence.
The court heard that Othman had caused hurt to the woman out of anger after suspecting that she had been cheating on him.
