A 39-year-old man was injured after a van caught fire at Wawasan Plaza Sentral, Api-Api, here on Tuesday evening.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call at 6.58pm and arrived at the scene within five minutes.

The fire involved a Toyota Liteace van that was completely destroyed.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 7.27pm using two hose lines.
The male victim sustained about seven percent burn injuries to his back.
He was given initial treatment at the scene before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital I for further medical care using an Emergency Medical Rescue Services vehicle.
A total of 11 firefighters from the Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Station were involved.
The operation ended at 7.28pm after the area was declared safe.
