LAHAD DATU: Some 81 individuals were inspected in an operation by Lahad Datu Immigration on Thursday.
The Department, in a statement, said the operation involved three business premises. The six-hour operation involved five officers from the Enforcement Unit of the Lahad Datu Immigration Office.
During the operation, 81 people comprising 53 locals, 21 Filipinos, three Indonesians and four China nationals were inspected.
“All the foreigners were found to possess valid travel documents and have not violated the laws,” said the department.
It urged employers and premise managers to always comply with the immigration laws, saying similar operations would be carried out from time to time to ensure compliance, as well as combating illegal employment of foreigners.
