Elopura win shows people want voice close to home
Calvin said his retaining the Elopura seat by a majority of 3,375 was a clear signal that the people wanted a representative who stays close to the community, understands grassroots issues and speaks up for their interests.
SANDAKAN: Warisan Supreme Council member and Elopura State Assemblyman-elect, Calvin Chong, said his retaining the Elopura seat by a majority of 3,375 was a clear signal that the people wanted a representative who stays close to the community, understands grassroots issues and speaks up for their interests.

Reflecting on the past five years, he said serving in the opposition had not hindered his efforts.

He continued to go into the field, solve community problems, assist families in need, raise local issues in the assembly, and ensured Elopura remained visible in government planning.

“Five years ago, I was in the opposition. But that never stopped me from working hard. Every day, I reminded myself that the people entrusted me to be their voice.
