KOTA KINABALU: The Election Court on Friday dismissed and struck out the election petition filed by Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia challenging the victory of Independent candidate Datuk Fairuz Renddan in the Pintasan state seat.
Kuching-based High Court Judge Faridz Gohim Abdullah dismissed the petition after allowing a preliminary objection raised by Fairuz.
He also ordered the petitioner to pay RM10,000 in costs to Fairuz.
In the 2025 Sabah State Election held on Nov 29, Fairuz won the Pintasan seat with 4,675 votes, defeating Pandikar who secured 3,605 votes.
