Defeated candidate pledges continued service to Darau
Razali extended his congratulations to Azhar and expressed appreciation for the spirited competition among all candidates, including Meriah Osman, Joe Arfan, Nordin Thani, and Nabila Norsahar.
Kota Kinabalu: Defeated GRS candidate, Datuk Razali Razi, affirmed his unwavering commitment to the community, pledging to continue serving the people of Darau.

Razali, affectionately known as Datuk Bob, expressed his gratitude to voters and emphasized that his dedication to public service transcends electoral outcomes.

In a heartfelt message shared on Facebook, Razali reflected on his campaign experience, highlighting the invaluable opportunity to connect with the community.

“Thank you for allowing me to campaign, visit villages, sit and chat, and hear directly the hopes of the community,” he wrote, acknowledging the deep connection he forged with the people of Darau.

Official results showed a narrow margin, with Razali securing 8,297 votes, just 63 votes shy of Parti Warisan candidate Azhar Matussin, who garnered 8,360 votes.

Razali extended his congratulations to Azhar and expressed appreciation for the spirited competition among all candidates, including Meriah Osman, Joe Arfan, Nordin Thani, and Nabila Norsahar.

Despite not securing the mandate this time, Razali reiterated his steadfast dedication to the people of Darau.

“Darau remains in my heart. I will continue to work, help, and visit villages as usual,” he affirmed, underscoring that his commitment to service is rooted in sincerity and a profound sense of responsibility to the community.

Razali emphasised that his efforts to improve the lives of Darau residents would continue unabated.

“As long as I am able, and as long as the people of Darau still call my name, I will be there to help,” he declared, reinforcing his pledge to remain an active and supportive presence in the community, regardless of his electoral status.
