TENOM: Former Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says Melalap voters now have a stronger chance of being heard nationally with Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Datuk Jamawi Jaafar gaining the attention of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He said Jamawi’s long record of raising rural issues positions him as a credible bridge between Melalap and the Federal Government during a visit to the constituency’s campaign trail.
Khairy noted that Jamawi’s ties with national leaders give confidence that Melalap’s needs in development, welfare, health and housing can be pushed more effectively.
He also described Jamawi as a leader who has consistently championed basic infrastructure, economic opportunities, education and youth empowerment throughout his political career.
Jamawi thanked Khairy for joining the campaign and urged Melalap voters to back candidate number three on 29 November to strengthen the district’s voice at the national level.
