BENGKOKA: Warisan recently launched a high-tech, chemical-free raw water treatment system in Kampung Dandun, a pilot initiative aimed at addressing the long-standing clean water crisis affecting residents in Bengkoka and Pitas.
Its candidate for Bengkoka (N2), Fauziah Mohd Fuad Stephens, said the project demonstrates that the party is working for the people despite not being in government.
“The water issue in Bengkoka and Pitas is no longer a technical matter, it is about dignity,” she said.
“For far too long, families have been waking up at 4am just to look for water.”
She said the system does not use chemicals, is simple enough for villagers to operate, has low maintenance costs and produces clean, potable water.
Fauziah described it as more than a machine, saying it saves time, protects health and improves the quality of life for rural communities.
She said the initiative would serve as a model for wider implementation in other villages if Warisan is given the mandate to govern.
“If we can deliver solutions as candidates, imagine what we can achieve as a government,” she said, adding that residents should not have to endure further delays or repeated promises.
“Warisan does not wait for positions to serve. We go to the ground and bring solutions, not excuses,” she said.
The system is expected to provide a more stable supply of clean water, reduce household expenses, improve health outcomes and empower local communities to manage their own water systems, Fauziah said.
