Rescue crews search Pulau Bum-Bum waters for missing fisherman
SAR personnel scour the waters where the victim was last reported missing.
SEMPORNA: A 36-year-old man has been reported missing after he disappeared while diving for fish with friends off Pulau Bum-Bum on Wednesday evening.

Lagete Gildik was last seen at about 7.15pm before failing to resurface, prompting his companions to alert the authorities.

The State Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call from the Semporna Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) at 9am on Thursday.

A seven-member team from BBP Air Semporna, supported by MMEA, the Civil Defence Force and Police, launched a Search and Rescue operation in the surrounding waters.
