KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Action Body Advocating Rights (Sabar) has launched Belia Says, a youth-led initiative aimed at strengthening civic awareness and public participation among young Sabahans.
The project, led by Sabar Youth Chair Adelina Adna Adenan, begins with a six-episode podcast series produced with Kopitiam Council and featuring conversations on political education, community challenges and youth-driven leadership.
Sabar members recently observed strong maturity among youth participants during a Community Empowerment Initiative Sabah programme, noting their ability to discuss political issues respectfully and without personal attacks.
Sabar Board Chairman Datuk Zainie Abdul Aucasa and trustee Datuk Dr Christina Rundi expressed confidence in the younger generation, saying the initiative reflects a growing culture of accountability, unity and shared responsibility among Sabah’s youth.
Adelina said Belia Says aims to recognise young people as essential contributors to Sabah’s development, with upcoming episodes featuring youth changemakers discussing Sabah rights, advocacy and community aspirations.
