KOTA KINABALU: The Attorney-General’s Chambers said on Friday that its appeal against part of the Kota Kinabalu High Court’s ruling concerns several alleged errors in the written judgment rather than the issue of Sabah’s 40 per cent entitlement.
The statement explained that the notice of appeal filed at the Kota Kinabalu High Court on Nov 13, focuses on findings suggesting the Federal and State governments had allegedly abused their powers and breached constitutional duties.
It stressed that the Federal Government is not appealing the question of Sabah’s special grant based on the 40 per cent revenue share.
The Chambers added that the Federal Government remains committed to resuming negotiations with the Sabah Government as soon as possible.
