Kota Kinabalu: Inter Nacionale emerged as champions in the Battle of the 50's Football Challenge held at the Penampang Sports Complex over the weekend.
They defeated Sarayo Legend 3-1 in the final to claim the RM7,000 cash prize and the winning trophy, while the losing finalists received RM4,000 and a trophy.
Earlier in the semi-finals, Inter Nacionale booked their place in the final by beating TK United 1-0 and Sarayo Legend made it to the final also with a
1-0 win over RRB Tamparuli FC.
Both losing semi-finalists each received RM2,000 and a trophy.
A total of 16 teams took part in the two-day competition organised by Penampang Unity Football Club in cooperation with Dark Horse Football Club.
