Kota Kinabalu: The 15th Inter-Professional Bodies Games (IPBG) 2025 came to a successful close on Sunday, after a year-long programme of sporting competitions involving professionals from various disciplines across Sabah.
Hosted by the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM), the biennial event featured 12 sporting disciplines and saw strong participation from seven professional bodies.

IEM emerged as the overall champions with 87 points, followed by the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) with 65 points and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) with 54 points.
The closing ceremony was officiated by IEM Sabah Branch chairman Datuk Mohd Yaakob Jaafar, while Wah Kheng Haw served as the 15th IPBG Organising Chairman.
IPBG brings together members of IEM, MIA, MMA, Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Sabah Law Society (SLS) and the Sabah Pharmaceutical Society (SPS), with the aim of promoting camaraderie, sportsmanship and a healthy lifestyle among professionals.
The next edition of the Inter-Professional Bodies Games will be hosted by MIA in 2027.
