TUARAN: A 38-year-old man suffered minor injuries after a four-wheel-drive vehicle skidded off the roadside before Nabalu town along the Tamparuli-Ranau road early Friday.
The Fire and Rescue Department said the Mitsubishi Triton was carrying two men, aged 29 and 38, when it veered off the road at about 3.30am, leaving the passenger trapped and needing to be freed by firefighters.
Seven firefighters from the Tuaran station rescued the passenger and handed him over to Health Ministry personnel, who later sent him by ambulance to Tuaran Hospital for further treatment.
