Kota Kinabalu: Adidas and Sabah FC on Thursday launched the club’s official 2025/26 season kits at the “The Rise of the Rhinos” event held at Sportmart in Suria Sabah.
The partnership also marked a historic milestone as Sabah FC became the first Malaysian football club to be sponsored by Adidas this season, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to supporting the growth of local football.
Adidas Malaysia country manager Preston Page said they are proud to invest in the local game by partnering with Sabah FC.
“Malaysia has incredible football potential, Sabah FC coming off a remarkable third place finish in the Malaysia Super League last season, has proven itself as one of the most exciting and competitive teams in the country.
“Football has the unique power to unite people. Through this partnership, we aim to create shared moments, memorable experiences, and inspire the next generation of footballers across Malaysia,” he said.
Deputy Chief Minister and Sabah Football Association president Datuk Shahelmey Yahya in his speech said the collaboration indicated that Sabah FC are one of the top clubs in Malaysia.
“This partnership proves the confidence of a global brand such as Adidas in Sabah FC as one of the biggest clubs in Malaysia. It is not just a belief in the team’s achievements on the field, but also recognition of the club’s management, which we will continue to improve,” he said.
Also present at the ceremony were Ararat Sports and Souvenirs Sdn Bhd’s director Brandon Wong as well as other Sabah FA and Sabah FC’s top officials. ·
Following the official launch, hundreds of fans who turned up were treated to a meet and greet session with Sabah FC players and coaches.
Meanwhile, the latest kits featuring the iconic Sabah FC crest blend traditional and modern design with the home jersey in bold red, symbolising passion and pride, while the away jersey comes in a striking blue to represent strength and unity.
