According to Arziz, Alto Linus who was the interim head coach since the departure of De Marigny will be back as the assistant coach and Garrido will lead the team starting from their upcoming match against Negeri Sembilan FC at the Likas Stadium, scheduled for this Saturday.

He is confident that the presence of the new coach can bring positive changes to the team, especially in an effort to improve Sabah FC’s position in the 2025/2026 Malaysian League competition.
“Our main focus is also to advance to the final of the 2025-2026 MFL Challenge Cup,” he said.
He also called on the players to exhibit full commitment and discipline, urging them to adapt quickly to the new training methods introduced by Garrido.
“I am confident that with strong team spirit and determination, Sabah FC can achieve remarkable results moving forward,” he stated.
