Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC head coach Juan Torres Garrido is wary of the threat posed by Perak FC in the Challenge Cup semi-final first leg tie to be played at the Manjung Municipal Council Stadium tonight (Wednesday) at 10pm.
He called on the players not to let their guard down when they take on the home team, who are capable of an upset as they did against Kuala Lumpur FC in the Malaysia Cup.

Perak FC had earlier defeated Kuala Lumpur FC 2-0 at home in the first leg opening round of the Malaysia Cup before losing 3-0 in the return leg after extra time.
They qualified for the Challenge Cup semi-final after defeating Damansara 4-3 over two legs.
“We can’t look down on Perak FC because they are a good team and we can see how they defeated Kuala Lumpur FC at their own venue before.
“So, this will be a difficult match for us and the players will continue to work hard in training to give their best performance.
“The players who are on the pitch must make wise decisions and grab every opportunity presented to ensure that we come back with a good advantage for the return leg in Likas,” he said.
He also said they are still working to improve the players’ fitness level and consistency in executing his game plan.
“This is important because if we can, we want to continue to be a team that can be a strong competitor to other teams in every match,” he added.
