KENINGAU: Keningau MP Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffrey Kitingan proposed significant structural changes to the district’s Kaamatan Festival competitions to enhance efficiency and maintain cultural integrity.
Chairing a coordination meeting at the Pampang Meeting Room recently, Jeffrey, in his capacity as the district Kaamatan patron and KDCA Deputy President, called for the implementation of early pre-judging for the Unduk Ngadau pageant.
He said the move is designed to streamline the grand finals, shortening the event’s duration while allowing for a more rigorous and professional evaluation of contestants.
Jeffrey—who holds the title Huguan Siou Lundu Mirongod (Great Brave Thinker) urged for a stricter coordination of the Sugandoi (singing) competition.
