NABAWAN: Dyeneley Daud, 19, from Kampung Kabangawong, was crowned Randawi Tavantang during the Nabawan District-level Pesta Kaamatan celebration held at the open hall of the District Council, here, last Saturday.
Dyeneley, a student of Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Gaya, impressed the judges with her performance and appearance throughout the competition.

Second place went to Mascherlyan Masirin, 19, from Kampung Babayasing, Pensiangan, who is currently awaiting opportunities to further her studies or career.
Meanwhile, third place was secured by Ardy Adriani Martin, 20, from Kampung Binanding in the Pagalungan sub-district, who is also a student.
The champion received RM2,500 in cash along with a trophy and other prizes, while the second and third-place winners took home RM1,500 and RM1,000 in cash respectively, together with trophies and supplementary gifts.
The Randawi Tavantang competition is among the most anticipated events during the Pesta Kaamatan celebration as it highlights talent, cultural beauty and the heritage of the local community alongside the Unduk Ngadau pageant, which remains the festival’s main attraction.
The prize presentation ceremony was officiated by Nabawan Assemblyman cum Sabah State Land Development Board (LKTNS) Chairman Datuk Abdul Ghani Mohamed Yassin.
Also present were Nabawan District Officer Ts Marshal Anthony @ Idham, who also chaired the main organising committee for the district-level Pesta Kaamatan celebration, as well as committee members and guests.
