Kota Kinabalu: Derik Kugan and Ian Steve Dee Moses were crowned champions of the Randawi Tavantang Kaamatan (RTK) Karambunai and Likas categories, respectively, at the final, recently.
The competition, which featured 10 finalists, was held in conjunction with the Sodop Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) at Sipadan Hall 1, Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).

Derik emerged as champion, taking home RM3,000, a trophy and the Sigah, while Ian secured RM2,000 and a trophy. Ryan Adriel Kario placed third, receiving RM1,000 and a trophy.
Derik further cemented his victory by sweeping subsidiary titles, including Mr Intelligent, Best Contemporary Design and Best Personality (Tohinud).
Both Derik and Ian will represent their respective titles at the State-level finals at the Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) Hall on May 27.
The Sodop UNK segment featured 15 finalists showcasing contemporary KDMR attire.
The Best Dress award went to Cyornnica Johnius for “Sparkling Rombituan,” designed by Jason Jace. Natalie Ally Hepeni placed second with “The Heritage of Huminodun,” designed by Bibi Yap, while Ellizlie Timbol Elling placed third with “Sia Vusak Linangkit,” designed by Timtimtimothy.
Natalie Ally Hepeni was also named Miss Natural Beauty, Moza Zetty Lo won Miss Friendly, and Denzell Irvin Richard took the Miss Favourite title.
The Sodop UNK champion received RM1,500, along with a trophy and a bouquet of flowers.
