KOTA MARUDU: Aelvereny Vahidin was crowned Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) Kota Marudu 2026 after beating 11 other finalists at the district-level Kaamatan celebration at the district field pavilion on Sunday.

She took home RM5,000, a crown, sash, trophy and bouquet, and will represent Kota Marudu at the State-level UNK competition at KDCA Unity Centre, Penampang later this month.

Sunshine Ros Samcion Tadle finished as first runner-up and received RM3,000 and accompanying prizes, while Audrey Tia Terence placed third and received RM2,000 and accompanying prizes.

The prizes were presented by Sedcovest Holdings Sdn Bhd Chairman Datuk Redonah Bahanda, who is also patron of the Kota Marudu Kaamatan Festival celebration.
