KOTA KINABALU: Sabah is set to become a Borneo commercial vehicle assembly hub following a partnership between Dongfeng Motor and Kim Teck Cheong (KTC), with plans to build an assembly plant that could create about 1,000 jobs and boost industrial and logistics sectors.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick welcomed the investment, proposing Kota Belud Industrial Park as the site and highlighting benefits such as job creation, technology transfer and skills development.
