KENINGAU: A block of four workers’ quarters was destroyed in a fire at Kampung Patikang Ulu here on Friday.

The incident was reported at 2.34pm, with fire and rescue personnel from the Keningau station arriving shortly after at a distance of about 5km.

Operations commander Norhasrita Abd Manan said the non-permanent structure was completely razed in the blaze.

Firefighters drawing water from the fire engine to bring the fire under control at 2.51pm.

No casualties were reported and overhaul works were ongoing at the scene, with further updates to be provided.
