Kota Kinabalu: A 46-year-old part-time teacher, was charged with committing physical sexual harassment against his male student.
Adrian Charles pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan, to the charge against him on Thursday.

Adrian is accused of committing the offence against the 16-year-old boy by asking the boy to perform oral sex on him at 4pm on July 16, 2025 at a house in Penampang.
The offence under Section 14 (a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which provides for a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping, upon conviction.
The court set May 11 for case management and released Adrian on bail of RM6,000 in two local sureties.
Adrian was also ordered to report to Penampang police station once a month, his passport if any, to be kept by the court and warned to not tamper with the prosecution’s witnesses.

Earlier, Deputy Public Prosecutor Bryan Francis objected to bail Adrian on the grounds that it was non bailable offence and that Adrian might tampering with the prosecution’s witnesses.
But, counsel Bartholomew Jingulam who represented Adrian, asked for bail to be granted as his client was not a flight risk and no possiblity for his client to to abscond as well not tampering with the prosecution’s witnesses.
Bartholomew also suggested to court to impose additional conditions.
