Kota Kinabalu: A peaceful gathering calling for transparency in Sabah’s 40 per cent revenue entitlement negotiations is set to take place at Gaya Street here on April 10 at 5pm.
The call was made by a youth coalition following the Court of Appeal’s decision on April 6 to grant a stay of execution to the Federal Government over the longstanding claim.

The group said the rally, themed “Laksanakan 40pc Hak Sabah”, aims to push for greater political accountability and public disclosure in the negotiation process.
In a joint statement, the coalition urged the Ministry of Finance, the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) and the State Government to reveal full details of discussions held since the High Court ruling on Oct 17, 2025.
These include meeting dates, outcomes, cancelled engagements and a clear roadmap moving forward.
They stressed that Sabahans can no longer accept delays without visible progress, warning that a lack of transparency would erode public trust.

The group also called for the immediate release of the audit report on the 40 per cent entitlement and the finalisation of the calculation formula, including official figures for 2025 and 2026.
Describing the existing MA63 monitoring dashboard as insufficient, the coalition said real transparency must involve access to primary data such as revenue figures, formulas, and verified meeting records.
The statement was jointly issued by youth representatives Allison Chan (UPKO), Melvin Lo (Warisan), Yong Yit Jee (SAPP), and activist Atalia Mae Jaua (Komuhakan Movement), who emphasised that the gathering is non-partisan and open to all Sabahans seeking accountability.
