KOTA KINABALU: LDP women’s chief, Glenna Wong, backed GRS counterpart Datuk Seri Azizah Mohd Dun of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah in urging the federal government to implement Sabah’s long-delayed 40pc revenue entitlement without citing technical delays.
Wong emphasized that while court decisions have postponed execution, ongoing negotiations between the state and federal governments should continue, reflecting political sincerity and protecting public trust.

She noted that delays weaken confidence, especially given Sabah’s infrastructure gaps, high living costs, and geographic challenges.
Rejecting claims that diesel subsidies are politicized, Wong said Sabah and Sarawak deserve fair returns as major energy producers.
She also supported increasing Sabah’s parliamentary seats to reflect population growth and enhance women’s participation in governance.
Wong urged the federal government to adopt a proactive, pragmatic approach to fulfill Sabah’s rights, restore public confidence, and promote balanced regional development.
