Kota Kinabalu: The public is invited to participate in the Autism Fun Run 2026, to be held on April 19 at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Stadium.
The event is organised by the Board of Visitors of the Taman Didikan Kanak-Kanak Kurang Upaya in collaboration with UMS, through its Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, to raise public awareness of autism and strengthen community support for affected children.

Participants from all walks of life are expected to turn out for the recreational event, including students, families and members of the local community, in what organisers describe as a relaxed yet meaningful atmosphere.
Beyond the fun run itself, the programme will feature a range of activities including an autism awareness talk, interactive activity booths, health screenings and light sporting activities such as a football penalty shootout.
The organisers hope the event will serve as a platform to unite the community and strengthen public understanding of the importance of ongoing support for individuals with autism in Sabah.
