Government pledges continued cooperation with media fraternity

The State Government will continue to strengthen cooperation with the media fraternity as Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri with Sabah media practitioners here on Saturday night.

More than 200 media practitioners, including editors-in-chief, bureau chiefs and representatives of various media organisations, attended the gathering alongside Sabah Journalists Association (SJA) president Mariah Doksil and Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) chairman Datuk Jimmy Goh.

Also present were Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Isnin Aliasnih, Yayasan Sabah Director Datuk Ghulam Khan Bahadar, chief editors, bureau chiefs and heads of departments.

In remarks delivered on behalf of the Chief Minister, Media and Communications Director in the Chief Minister’s Department Datuk Lucy Irene Yong expressed appreciation for the commitment of media practitioners in disseminating information to the public across government, mainstream and social media platforms.
