Kuala Lumpur: A Malaysian couple’s enduring love has prevailed despite the wife losing most of her memory after an accident nearly a decade ago.
The incident affected her recollection and placed a strain on their marriage, as well as on their young family at the time.
In a
TikTok video uploaded recently, the wife expressed gratitude to her husband, saying she did not make a mistake in choosing him.
Her husband arranged a surprise ceremony at home to marry her again, with the help of their two sons and a videographer.
“It was my responsibility and, no matter the obstacles, we have to face them and not run away from problems,” he said.
The couple, dressed in matching traditional outfits, were welcomed by their children tossing flower petals as he slipped her original wedding ring onto her finger, moving her to tears.
The video has since garnered more than 525,000 likes, over 124,000 shares, and more than 7,600 comments, with netizens expressing admiration and offering well-wishes to the couple.
