Kota Kinabalu: The State Government will continue supporting police personnel as key strategic partners in Sabah’s security and development, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
He said state security underpins development stability, public well-being and investor confidence.

Hajiji said security is a key enabler of economic growth under the Sabah Maju Jaya 2.0 (SMJ 2.0) plan and warned that instability would affect its implementation.
He said this at the opening of the Sabah Police Gallery at the Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters in Kepayan, describing the facility as a living archive preserving the history and contributions of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in Sabah, including exhibits such as the 2013 Tanduo incident in Lahad Datu.
He added that the gallery serves as an educational centre for younger generations while urging police personnel, in conjunction with the 219th Police Commemoration Day, to uphold discipline and integrity in safeguarding the nation’s security and peace.
