Kota Kinabalu: A total of 100 asnaf in the Putatan area received Wakalah Zakat assistance from Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd to help ease their burden while sharing blessings during the holy month of Ramadan.

The zakat contributions were presented by Sabah Electricity Chairman Saadiah Aziz during the Sesuci Budi Seikhlas Ramadan programme organised by the company at Masjid Nurul Ihsan, Putatan, on Monday.

The programme was held in line with Sabah Electricity’s commitment to remain attentive to the challenges faced by communities in managing present-day living difficulties.

Wakalah Zakat contributions were also extended to Masjid Nurul Ihsan Kampung Ketiau, Surau Raudhatul Jannah at PPR Sri Keramat and Surau Darul Uluumil Quraniyyah in Kampung Sindil.

“May this contribution help ease the burden of the recipients and become a blessed act of worship for all of us,” Saadiah said.
