Kota Kinabalu: Wisma Harta Sdn Bhd, a State Government-linked company, recorded its highest revenue of RM3.4 million last year since its establishment 39 years ago, enabling the company to pay RM600,000 in dividends to the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (Muis).
Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Isnin Aliasnih, said the achievement reflects the company’s strong financial performance and transparent management, which also enabled previously delayed dividend payments to be settled.

“Last year, Wisma Harta recorded RM3.4 million in revenue and paid RM600,000 in dividends to Muis, in addition to fulfilling its business zakat obligations.
“This shows transparency in the company’s administration and management, enabling it to increase revenue and contribute to the State Government’s coffers,” he said after a Wisma Harta staff breaking-of-fast event, recently.
During the event, Wisma Harta also handed over the 2025 dividend payment amounting to RM5 million, RM25,000 in business zakat and RM5,000 in cash waqf to Muis, witnessed by Isnin.
Isnin urged other government-linked companies (GLCs) to emulate Wisma Harta by fulfilling their business zakat obligations to obtain blessings and help increase the State Government’s revenue.
“By paying zakat, we not only gain blessings from Allah SWT, but also contribute to increasing the State Government’s income,” he said.
Meanwhile, Wisma Harta Board Chairman Datuk Ramlan Awang Ali said the company’s financial performance showed significant improvement after recording its highest revenue in 2025 compared to RM2.4 million the previous year, representing an increase of about 70 per cent.
Ramlan, who is also Muis Secretary, said the company is optimistic that it will be able to make a RM1 million payment to Muis for the 2026 financial year, while continuing to record better financial performance.
