TAWAU: A 28-year-old was arrested for allegedly acting aggressively and smashing the window of his father’s car at Kampung Durian, Merotai Besar, on Wednesday.
The incident at 7am is believed to have been triggered by the suspect’s tendency to become violent whenever his demands were not fulfilled by family members.

Tawau District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin confirmed that police received a report from the suspect’s sister at 9.17am, claiming that her younger brother frequently behaved uncontrollably.
Apart from damaging property at the house, the suspect was also said to often pressure family members to give him money and lend him a motorcycle.
Following the report, a team of officers from the Bombalai Police Station was deployed to the scene and arrested the suspect at 11.20am.
Police stressed that firm action will be taken against anyone who commits acts of mischief or vandalism, even if it involves family members, to ensure public safety and order are maintained.
The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief by damaging property.
Members of the public are advised not to act based on emotions when facing pressure or family conflicts, but instead to seek assistance from the authorities to prevent more serious incidents from occurring.
