Election Court strikes out petition against Kunak result
KOTA KINABALU: The Election Court on Thursday struck out a voter’s petition seeking to nullify the Kunak constituency result in the Sabah 17th State Election.

Bintulu-based High Court Judge Amelati Parnell allowed the preliminary objections raised by all respondents and ordered the petition to be struck out.

The petitioner, Md Bustan @ Industan Lumantang, had named the Election Commission, Sabah State Election Officer, Returning Officer and Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Datuk Seri Dr Anil Jeet Singh (pic) as the first, second, third and fourth respondents respectively.

Amelati ordered RM10,000 in costs to be paid to the first, second and third respondents and RM20,000 to the fourth respondent.
