KOTA KINABALU: Kindness was served in warm bowls on Saturday as the Sabah Journalists' Association (SJA) and Maggi shared 600 packs of
bubur lambuk (spiced rice porridge) with the community in conjunction with Ramadan.
A total of 400 packs were handed out at Bandaran Berjaya at about 2pm to public transport operators and members of the public.

Another 200 packs were distributed to SJA members during the association’s family day cum breaking-of-fast programme later in the day.
The
bubur lambuk was prepared using ingredients sponsored by Maggi.
Present at Bandaran Berjaya were SJA President Mariah Doksil, Nestlé Products Sdn Bhd Operations Manager Wallace Tan, and SJA committee members.
Mariah said the activity was part of the association’s effort to foster goodwill and strengthen ties with the community while embracing the spirit of Ramadan.
She said Ramadan is a month of compassion, sharing and caring for one another, and described it as a meaningful time to lend a helping hand, especially to public transport operators working during the fasting month.
Wallace said Maggi was pleased to support meaningful community engagements during Ramadan and remained committed to giving back through various outreach programmes, while the distribution at Bandaran Berjaya drew positive responses from members of the public ahead of breaking fast.
