KOTA MARUDU: The Mr and Miss Native Borneo (MNB) team recently organised a charity outreach programme at Hostel Karunia in Kampung Salimandut here, providing care and support to students from rural communities.
Anavau Events chairperson Judith Pudin said the programme included contributions of essential items such as pillows, dry food, canned food, basic cooking supplies and other daily necessities.

She said medical personnel also conducted dental screenings and basic health check-ups, while volunteer barbers from Modern Age Barber provided free haircuts for the students.
She added that volunteers from MNB Sabah and Sarawak Alumni assisted in coordinating activities and engaging with the students throughout the programme.
Judith expressed appreciation to Kovac for its sponsorship and to donors who contributed in kind, noting that Hostel Karunia provides a safe and nurturing home for students from remote areas to continue their education.
