TAMPARULI: Hundreds of vehicles are facing daily traffic congestion along Jalan Tamparuli-Ranau, near Pekan Tamparuli, following the closure of the Low Level Crossing (LLC) Tamparuli Bridge since Jan 6.
A check by Daily Express found that the bridge, which connects surrounding villages to Pekan Tamparuli, was closed after structural subsidence was detected.
The closure is believed to be the main cause of worsening traffic flow, leaving road users frustrated over delays to their daily routines.
A private sector employee, Ronny Taimin, 42, a regular commuter affected by the congestion, said: “Before the closure, I would leave Tamparuli at 5.30am for KKIP and arrive at work around 7am. Now, I have to leave at 5am and only reach around 7.30am,” he said.
