Murder charge over dismembered remains found in communal bin

KOTA KINABALU: A self-employed man was charged at the Magistrate’s Court here on Friday with the murder of his 44-year-old former fiancée, whose dismembered remains were recently discovered in a communal bin at Taman Indah Permai, Sepanggar.

Piluta Samad, 71, who appeared before Magistrate Dzul Elmy Yunus, said he understood the charge when it was read to him.

No plea was recorded as murder cases are under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

He allegedly murdered an undocumented Hamidah Husin @ Lisa on Feb 11, between 6pm and 7pm, at a house in Kampung Sri Kenangan, Jalan Sepanggar, here.
