No shortage of Kadazandusun literary talent: Ex-Chief Minister
Dompok said, the competition is organized in response to the need of more Kadazandusun reading materials.
PENAMPANG: There is a wealth of hidden talents among Kadazandusun writers and many are still waiting to be discovered, said former Chief Minister Tan Sri Bernard Giluk Dompok.

“Some we have discovered through competition, particularly in the Kadazandusun Novel Writing Competition under Tan Sri Bernard Giluk Dompok Literary Award. This year is the fifth times this competition is held.

“These writers are catalyst that ignite courage, inspire creativity and empowers them to tell their stories, strengthen their language and bring more Kadazandusun novels to life,” he said at the TSBGB Literary Award presentation and prize giving ceremony at Dewan Huguan Siou Tuavon here on Saturday.

This event held in conjunction with the celebration of International Mother Language Day (MILD) and launching of Kadazan-English-Malays dictionary on webonary by Kadazandusun Language Foundation (KLF).
