KOTA BELUD: Sarang A emerged champions of the 9-a-side KBS Cup Football Tournament 2026 after defeating Stom FC 2-1 in the final at the Kampung Sarang Youth Field, here, recently.
The match was level 1-1 at half-time before Sarang A netted the winning goal in the closing minutes of the second half.

Sarang A from Kota Belud received RM2,026 in cash, a trophy and medals as champions, while runners-up Stom FC from Pitas took home RM1,526 in cash, a trophy and medals, with Remaja Sarang receiving RM726, a trophy and medals, and SGV RM526 in cash.
The tournament, held in conjunction with Chinese New Year 2026, attracted 24 teams and was organised by Kelab Belia Sarang (KBS), with Pintasan State Assemblyman Datuk Fairuz Renddan and Kota Belud Member of Parliament Isnaraissah Munirah among the main contributors alongside individual sponsors.
The opening ceremony and prize presentation were officiated by the representative of Datuk Renddan, Pintasan Community Development Leader (PPM) Sikar bin Datin.
