Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the two projects together would add 28MWac of new power generation capacity, helping to stabilise electricity supply in Sabah.
“This resulted in the arrest of 61 individuals. All those detained were handed over to the Immigration Department for further action under Section 6(1)(c) and Section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63,” he said.

During the operation, Sabah Electricity also cut off illegal electricity connections and seized materials weighing almost 40kg under Section 61(3) of the Electricity Supply Enactment 2024.
