TAWAU: Police arrested a 25-year-old unemployed man for allegedly assaulting his 14-year-old brother and threatening to kill family members and burn their home in Kampung Langsat, Merotai Besar.
District police chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said officers detained the suspect on Monday and seized a 28cm knife following a report lodged by the victims.

The suspect allegedly went on a violent rampage at home, damaging property and injuring his brother.
The report was filed by the suspect’s father and sibling, who feared for their safety due to repeated incidents.
Checks showed the suspect has a prior drug-related criminal record and served a sentence in 2024.
The case is being investigated under Sections 506 and 323 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and causing hurt.
