Kota Kinabalu: A mentally unsound man caused damage to several parked vehicles along Jalan Gaya on Monday morning. 

Around 7.30am, the shirtless man was seen walking near Yee Fung Coffeeshop, where he struck a city signboard and road cones before damaging a parked Perodua Ativa by hitting its doors. 

Witnesses expressed concern for both public safety and the man’s well-being.

In a separate incident on Saturday, a Chinese tourist was spotted drying clothes under a tree on Jalan Gaya, which upset passersby.

People urged visitors to be more mindful of their actions to protect the city’s image.
