SANDAKAN: The Sandakan Municipal Council (MPS) is urged to conduct a thorough study before finalising the relocation of the Pasar Dinihari (Early Morning Market).

The Vegetable and Fruit Wholesalers Association (Persabah) Deputy Chairperson Suzaillah Jeffery said vendors had been informed of the market’s move to a new location due to several factors.

However, they hoped the relocation does not proceed, as it directly threatens their livelihoods and income.

“Should MPS decide to proceed with the relocation, the vendors request a long grace period to adjust. They are also seeking clarification and guarantees from MPS regarding the new location’s ability to attract customers and ensure the continued viability of their businesses,” she told the media.
