Masidi said this when receiving a courtesy call from the Ranau Hospital management, led by its director Dr Roniyuzam Abdul Malek, to discuss efforts to improve healthcare facilities in the Ranau district.
During the meeting, the hospital presented a briefing on plans to upgrade its status to a Minor Specialist Hospital, including proposals for new patient facilities, the provision of updated scanning machines, and measures to enhance service efficiency and quality.
The briefing also outlined plans to construct a new building within the existing hospital compound with patient wards, diagnostic and medical imaging units, clinical treatment areas, expanded parking facilities, and proposals for health clinics at strategic locations to improve access, particularly for residents of remote villages.
