Rusdin said the issue of patient congestion and treatment delays needed to be addressed in stages as it affected the delivery of health services, especially involving the elderly, pregnant women and chronic patients.
The discussion aimed to obtain clarification regarding the operational challenges faced by the hospital as well as the improvement measures that are currently and will be implemented.
Dr Roniyuzam said Ranau Hospital continued to strive to ensure that health services were delivered as well as possible despite facing human resource constraints and an increasing number of patients.
He said the hospital was looking into several improvement measures including structuring patient flow management and applications for additional medical personnel according to current needs.
